The Rotary Club of Carrollton-Farmers Branch embarked on a Signature Project back in 2012/2013 when, then President Ben Cunningham, challenged us to come up with a significant multi year project.  After almost a year and realizing our club is all about the support of kids in our community, we decided to raise money and purchase All Accessible Playground Equipment for the two cities we serve.
Farmers Branch was ready, so we embarked on creating Rotary Park in Farmers Brach. That park was dedicated back in May of 2016 after raising over $150,000 from our members, companies and the community.
We began the same process in late 2018 to raise in excess of $150,000 to purchase All Accessible Playground Equipment for Rosemeade Rotary Park in Carrollton. This was in partnership with the City of Carrollton who also spent considerable funds for the new surface and infrastructure.  This park just opened to the public last Friday, August 9th.  It is ramped accessable so that wheelchair bound kids of all ages can play along side their parents and siblings.  One of the newest features is a We-Go-Round.  This is the old fashion marry go around but is wheelchair accessible.
