Jason Edmundson

President

Jason Edmundson is the founder and president of Whirlix Design Inc., a full-service playground equipment company based in the Dallas area serving North, East and Central Texas.  Jason started Whirlix in 2017 after spending more than 22 years working in commercial construction as carpenter, installer, project manager and general manager.

Jason was inspired to start the company after spending hours with his then four-year-old son at playgrounds across North Texas. Started in partnership with Landscape Structures in 2017, Whirlix provides playground equipment that ensures children of all abilities have a chance to play and interact together.

Prior to Whirlix, Jason was the general manager of a specialty construction sub-contractor in Texas.  In his role, Jason was responsible for managing the sales and operations for the state of Texas. During that time, he assembled a team of 32 people, focused on customer service throughout the sales and installation processes.

When not working, Jason spends his time coaching youth hockey, playing hockey, skiing and camping with his family.  He volunteers his time to his fraternity, Head for the Cure and Project Fit America®.  Jason received his B.A. from Northern Illinois University. He lives in Plano with his wife and son Connor who still loves spending hours at the playground.

David Paquette, CPSI

VP, Operations

David Paquette brings more than 23 years of experience in residential and commercial construction, project delivery, and operational leadership to his role as Vice President at Whirlix Design. With a background that includes owning and operating a residential and commercial audio-video integration company and serving as a project manager for a commercial construction subcontractor, David offers a rare blend of hands-on technical expertise and high-level management insight. As Vice President, he provides strategic oversight across project execution, installation management, and client relationships—ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, consistently, and to the highest quality standards. His strengths in team leadership, process improvement, budgeting coordination, and cross-functional collaboration play a key role in driving operational excellence and supporting Whirlix Design’s continued growth.

Outside of work, David enjoys playing ice hockey, camping, and spending time outdoors. He and his wife, Lyndsay, also enjoy taking on home DIY projects together.

Greg Hawkins, CPSI

Brand Ambassador

Greg is a seasoned marketing and communications professional with extensive business development experience gained through leadership roles at Fortune 500 companies including Tyson Foods, Sara Lee Corporation, and Gap, Inc.
Prior to joining Whirlix Design, Greg served as the Southwest Business Development Manager for the Skatewave® Skateparks division of Landscape Structures, Inc., where he developed deep, hands-on manufacturer expertise. This background allows him to bring Whirlix Design some of the most direct and relevant industry insight available.
A skateboarder for life and avid extreme sports enthusiast, Greg combines his passion for skateparks and playgrounds with proven sales and sales-management expertise to deliver thoughtful, solution-driven outcomes for a growing and increasingly curious marketplace. A self-described kid at heart, he thrives at the intersection of creativity, play, and performance. In addition to skating, Greg’s hobbies include tennis, furniture refinishing, painting, and learning the electric guitar.

David Rushing

Director, Business Development

David Rushing has been in the construction industry for 32 years. 

Prior to his joining Whirlix Design, David owned and operated a Small General Contracting Business in Northern Colorado, was a Project and Service Sales Manager for a commercial interior’s sub-contractor, and Business Development Manager for the past 7 years for Whirlix Design before stepping in to the Director of Business Development role.

Throughout his adult life David has been an advocate and volunteer for children through coaching baseball/football, Ministry, and his professional career.

David and his wife Melanie have two children, Roman and Jules, who take up a lot of his time as performing playground R&D, Baseball and Competitive Dance. Contact David Today!

Addison Wootton

Controller

Addison Wootton came to Whirlix Design with 11 years of experience in Finance and Accounting roles.  Along with time as a Project Manager, he has spent half of his career in the Construction industry.  He received both his Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in ‘Accounting and Information Management’ from UT Dallas.  After graduating, Addison spent 6 years in public accounting with a big 4 firm. When he’s not in the office or chasing around his two children, (Cole and Annie) Addison enjoys hunting, fishing, and wood working.

Brady Dillow

Business Development Mgr

Brady Dillow is our newest addition to the Whirlix Sales Team. Brady comes to us with 5 years of experience in sales and management.  Prior to joining the team, Brady was the Business Development Manager for an IT e-learning company focused on cloud computing and training. Brady attended the University of Arkansas where he was part of the Razorback Hockey Club.  Brady still enjoys hockey, in addition to fishing, golf (both disk and traditional) and water sports. Mindy Long, CSI

Business Development Mgr

Mindy started with Whirlix Design, Inc. in January 2019. She began in the construction industry with a very successful family business in 2006. She comes to Whirlix Design with 13 years of experience both in residential and commercial construction where she was employed as the estimator, salesperson and project manager of all of her projects. Taking great pride in customer service accuracy and relationship building from the inception of a project to its end are just a few of her strengths.

Mindy has a passion for many things like the Wounded Warriors Foundation-making life better for those who have served, Animals-especially labs (she has four rescued labs which she adores), Advocacy for Children-being a voice for those who need it. Her desire to advocate for children made the decision to join Whirlix Design very simple. Being a part of a great company that has a vision to leave “no child behind” by providing an inclusive play experience for all is something that gives her great pride and makes going to work worthwhile and fun!

Prior to her career in the construction industry, Mindy was a grant writer for the American Red Cross and was the Director of the very first after school program in California for four years serving over 937 “at risk” middle school students!

Mindy is married and has six children ranging from age 31 to 9 years old. Needless to say, family keeps her very busy and inspires her to do her best at all times! Contact Mindy Today!

Jessica Maday

Business Development Mgr

Jessica Maday joined Whirlix Design in January 2024, bringing more than seven years of experience in sales, client relationship management, and commercial construction. Prior to Whirlix, Jessica spent five years in concrete sales within the commercial construction industry, where she developed a strong understanding of project coordination, budgeting, and long-term client partnerships. After taking time to focus on her family, she returned to the workforce with a renewed passion for creating meaningful community spaces.

As a mother of four, Jessica brings a unique, firsthand perspective to every project—approaching playground and recreation design through the lens of safety, inclusivity, shade, and lasting engagement. She is driven by a desire to help create spaces where families want to gather, play, and stay, and she enjoys collaborating closely with clients to deliver thoughtful, community-centered solutions. In her role as Business Development Manager, Jessica combines strategic relationship building with a deep understanding of client needs to support Whirlix Design’s continued growth.

Jessica attended the University of Notre Dame, where she played collegiate soccer and was part of the 2010 NCAA Division I National Championship team—an experience that shaped her competitive mindset, teamwork, and leadership approach. Outside of work, she spends most weekends at the hockey rink cheering on her kids or enjoys playing golf with her husband, Billy.

Kenny Carroll

Business Development Mgr

Kenny Carroll brings a decade of management expertise with the esteemed Dallas Stars to his role at Whirlix Design. With a distinguished career spanning ten years as a professional hockey player, Kenny's journey embodies resilience, discipline, and a relentless pursuit of success both on and off the ice.

Beyond the professional arena, Kenny cherishes family time with his wife, Janae, and their two children, Hudson and Harper. He finds joy in the simple pleasures of life. Whether cheering on Hudson in hockey and soccer matches or supporting Harper in her volleyball and cheerleading endeavors, Kenny finds immense fulfillment in witnessing his children's growth and accomplishments.

Reagan Moczygemba

Business Development Mgr

Reagan brings a unique blend of sales experience, leadership, and youth development to the Whirlix Design team. He joins Whirlix with two years of sales experience in the commercial and residential ready-mix concrete industry, complemented by more than a decade in education and coaching within Texas high schools. During his 12-year coaching career, Reagan held a variety of leadership roles including Head Baseball Coach, Associate Head Baseball Coach, Assistant Baseball Coach, Football Special Teams Coordinator, and Head Freshman Football Coach - experiences that strengthened his skills in team building, communication, and performance-driven leadership.
Reagan attended St. Mary’s University, where he played baseball for four years and finished his collegiate career as the university’s all-time hits leader. A lifelong competitor and mentor at heart, he is passionate about creating environments where kids can thrive. Reagan lives in Bulverde, Texas, with his wife, Brittany, and their three children—Brayden, Blakely, and Boone. As a family, they enjoy spending time outdoors through sports, hunting, fishing, dirt biking, and RV trips to the beach. Reagan is excited to bring his competitive spirit, relationship-driven mindset, and love for kids to Whirlix Design as he helps build impactful parks and recreation spaces throughout Central Texas.

Josh Bailey

Business Development Mgr

Josh joined the Whirlix team in Sept. 2022 and brings 19 + years of experience in the playground industry. Josh provides a unique perspective on the playground industry because he has history working both with Landscape Structures and a direct competitor. He believes Landscape Structures provides the best equipment in the industry. Josh is passionate about helping his partners develop the playground of their dreams and loves building the relationships that are part of the process. He puts a strong emphasis on customer service providing you with a partner that you can count on throughout the entire process and beyond.

Outside of work Josh enjoys spending time with wife and daughter (Kefren and Eliana), traveling, spending time in the mountains and supporting the Kansas Jayhawks, Kansas City Chiefs and Tottenham Hotspur. Contact Josh Today!

William Rubsamen

Assistant Marketing Director

William Rubsamen joined the Whirlix team as an intern in the Spring of 2021. While working on his Bachelor’s in Marketing at the University of Texas at Dallas, he enjoyed spending time with business leaders solving business related problems and developing solutions for their organization.

As an intern, William helped Whirlix Design develop and advance its social media goals. Upon graduation, he joined Whirlix Design full time as a Marketing Specialist. He brings a wealth of digital marketing knowledge and experience to the team.

Prior to joining Whirlix, William had over four years of restaurant management experience, at a variety of restaurants in Dallas, Richardson, Plano, and McKinney.

He enjoys attending Texas Rangers baseball games, acting as disc jockey for friends and family, and working on his education.

Grace Baker

Marketing Specialist

Grace joined Whirlix Design as a marketing intern in 2023 and began full-time in 2025 after earning her B.S. in Marketing and Management from Oklahoma State University. As a Marketing Specialist, she supports the team through content creation, social media strategy, event planning, and marketing communications. Passionate about storytelling and community, Grace brings a creative, people-focused approach to every project. She enjoys collaborating with cross-functional teams to showcase the purpose and energy behind each Whirlix space. Outside of work, she loves going to Dallas Stars games with friends and family and spending time with her cat, Cowboy.

Christina Donjuan

Brand Ambassador

Christina joined Whirlix in January 2026 as a Brand Ambassador, bringing more than 10 years of consulting experience centered on relationship-building, client advocacy, and process improvement. Her professional background includes supporting Boeing VIP and executive-level employees through complex domestic relocations and optimizing logistics operations for a wind turbine company—roles that required clear communication, trust, and a people-first approach.

In her role at Whirlix, Christina serves as a connector between communities and the spaces they love, helping clients and partners navigate the process of creating meaningful, well-designed outdoor environments. While new to the play industry, she brings genuine enthusiasm, strong listening skills, and a passion for helping people create places where families and neighbors can connect and make lasting memories together.

Outside of work, Christina enjoys spending time with her husband Eddie, her children Jackie, Noah, Julian and Camilla, and thier dog Auggie.

Paul Howie

Director of Construction

Paul developed an early passion for entrepreneurship and the construction industry. After graduating from UT Arlington with a degree in Business Management and Entrepreneurship, he sold his landscape and maintenance company to pursue a career in construction. Over the past 20 years, Paul has held key positions in heavy construction, including Assistant Project Manager, Project Manager, Construction Manager, and General Operations Manager. He has achieved record sales and completions in civil, private, and state construction projects for leading general contractors.

Paul's experience spans a wide range of sectors, including commercial construction, interior finishes, renovations, ground-up commercial projects, religious facilities, and industrial construction. He later transitioned to industrial plant and facilities project management, overseeing multi-million-dollar projects for a local manufacturer and managing government, county, and higher education projects. Paul has also successfully completed major health and medical industry projects, higher education research labs, and multi-family renovations.

Paul has been married to his wife Felisa since 1992 and has 3 grown children Kole, Gracie and Victoria. Much of his time is dedicated to Family and Church Ministry. Paul enjoys fishing, outdoors, remodeling and renovating his 1958 ranch home in Arlington with hopes to purchase his own ranch one day to share and raise Longhorn and Buffalo.

Will Stirling, CPSI

Construction Manager

Will joined the Whirlix team in April 2019. He has worked in the playground, playground surfacing, sport court surfacing for the past 30 years as a Project Manager and Construction Manager. He has been directly involved with a variety of projects with Pro Sports teams, government agencies, military bases and institutions, municipalities, parks and recreation departments.

Will is married to Karen and they have 5 children together ranging in age from 26 – 16 years old. They enjoy spending time with their 6 grandchildren, their dog Boudin, going to movies, travelling, and going on cruises.

Preston Rubsamen, CPSI

Preconstruction Manager

Preston Rubsamen is a young eager design & sales professional at Whirlix Design, with a common goal to provide kids an opportunity to “always be in motion” in a safe and healthy environment. Preston established his career by working in various fields in the construction and A&D Industry over the past 10 years. Working up in his career from a laborer, project manager, and designer for a local landscaping company leading into developing a successful career as a design contractor. Previously, Preston worked as a designer & sales coordinator for a Herman Miller dealership for vertical markets including Corporate, Healthcare, Government, and Higher Education based projects. While in college Preston worked on the set of, “Season 1, Tiny House Big Living” on HGTV as a design contractor and artist.

He is an allied member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID), graduating from Art Institute of Dallas a branch of Miami International University with a bachelor’s degree in Interior Design and Fine Arts with a focus on sustainable design. Preston maintained his academic standing through earning achievements such as Deans List, Presidents List, Honor Role, and Academic Achievement Award.

Daniel Tuttle

Field Superintendent

Daniel Tuttle brings more than 20 years of construction experience to his role as Field Superintendent at Whirlix, with the past decade focused on commercial concrete and complex field operations. His career is built on precision, coordination, and accountability—skills refined through both civilian construction and military service.
Daniel served in the U.S. Army as a Geodetic Surveyor and managed construction projects in Afghanistan for the Republic of Korea Army, where he led route and base reconnaissance, conducted survey and minefield operations, and coordinated teams in high-risk, logistically challenging environments. These experiences shaped his ability to manage field crews, maintain safety standards, and deliver projects efficiently under demanding conditions.
As Field Superintendent, Daniel oversees on-site execution, scheduling, and quality control, ensuring Whirlix projects are built to plan, on schedule, and to the highest standards. His global background as a dual national of the United States and Germany brings a disciplined, solutions-oriented perspective to every project.
Outside of work, Daniel is a devoted husband and stepfather who enjoys biking, fishing, cooking, and traveling whenever time allows.

Matt Pascoe

Senior Estimator

Matt Pascoe is a construction leader with hands-on roots and full-cycle project expertise—from preconstruction and business development to field management and production. He began his career at 17 with a family friend’s multifamily firm, learning carpentry, painting, and site execution before advancing to crew lead. Matt then joined Dallas-based Penco Companies, supervising large-scale multifamily rehabilitations and sharpening the business and management side of construction. Since then, he has built and led two high-performing preconstruction departments for major civil and multifamily contractors, known for aligning budgets, scopes, and schedules while coaching teams to deliver on quality and safety. Colleagues describe Matt as an adaptable problem-solver and an exceptional team builder who understands the work from the ground up.
Away from the jobsite, Matt’s world revolves around his 12-year-old son, Gunner. They spend weekends riding dirt bikes and four-wheelers or relaxing at the lake. Matt also coaches youth football and sponsors Gunner’s MMA training with Warrior Martial Arts—bringing the same energy, mentorship, and people-first approach to his community that he brings to every project.

John Devilleneuve

Designer/Estimator

John has a degree in Environmental Design from Texas A&M University with a background and passion for 3D modeling and rendering. Additionally, he has two years of experience in design and fabrication of woodworking projects.

In his free time, he likes to write and play music with friends, play boardgames, and work on woodworking projects with his brother.

Tyler Scarbrough

Estimator

Tyler joined the team with 7 years in the construction industry. After graduation from Forney High School in 2013, he started in commercial refrigeration and later became a truss estimator/ designer. He has over 5 years of experience producing pre-engineered wood and light-gauge steel truss systems for commercial, residential, and multi-family applications.

In his free time, he enjoys playing disc golf, writing music, playing pc games, and being a board game nerd.

Kevin Bosch

Estimator

Kevin brings a detail-oriented and solution-focused mindset to his role as an Estimator and Designer. With nearly two years of hands-on experience in the construction industry as an Estimator and Project Coordinator, Kevin has developed a strong foundation in planning, budgeting, and cross-team collaboration. His background in psychology adds a unique perspective, helping him understand both people and processes with greater insight and care.

He believes in maintaining a positive attitude, working hard with purpose, and fostering a strong team dynamic. Kevin lives by the principle that when you genuinely care about your work and those around you, success follows naturally.

Outside of the office, Kevin enjoys playing basketball, staying active at the gym, spending time with friends and family, and serving in his church’s young adults' community. His commitment to personal growth and meaningful relationships carries over into everything he does—both professionally and personally.

Jeff Yoon

Estimator

Jeff Yoon joined Whirlix Design in January 2025, bringing a diverse background with over 10 years of experience in electrical engineering, 15 years in the import/export wholesale business, and 5 years of teaching 5th to 8th graders.

With a passion for educating young minds and understanding the vital role that play plays in their development, Jeff made the decision to combine his engineering expertise and business experience to help design and estimate playgrounds at Whirlix. His unique perspective allows him to approach playground projects with an emphasis on both safety and fun, ensuring a meaningful and enjoyable experience for children.

Outside of work, Jeff enjoys spending time with his son, which led him to teach at the middle school he attended. He also loves riding his motorcycle, skiing, rollerblading, tackling household projects, and playing the guitar.

Georgia Nykoruk

Service Sales Manager

Georgia joined the Whirlix team in August 2020 as Sales/Administrative Coordinator and has since moved into a Service Sales Manager role. Georgia’s professional background includes 4 years in Corporate Recruiting/Human Resources and 10 years in Corporate Administration.

Georgia is a passionate singer and has been the lead singer of many bands over the years. She now manages her own band that she started in 2014, The Bad #7s. She also loves spending time with her husband and puppies in her free time.

Brayan Maldonado

Project Manager

Brayan Maldonado brings over five years of experience as a residential and commercial AutoCAD drafter, where he developed a strong foundation in blueprint reading, technical design, and the early phases of project development. His keen eye for detail and deep understanding of construction drawings positioned him as a go-to resource for precision and planning.

Driven by a desire to see projects come to life beyond the desk, Brayan transitioned into project management to gain hands-on experience in the field. With over a year of experience managing commercial construction projects, he now thrives on overseeing builds from concept to completion—balancing technical expertise with on-site coordination and execution.

Brayan is passionate about the entire project lifecycle and is especially motivated by the transformation that takes place from an initial sketch to a fully realized structure. Outside of work, you’ll find him exploring the outdoors—running, hiking, camping, and staying active in any way he can.

Antonio Valdez, CPSI

Project Manager

Antonio is a dedicated professional with a diverse background that spans both military service and civilian career paths. With eight years of invaluable experience in the Navy Seabees, he honed his skills on a wide range of construction projects, showcasing his commitment to precision and excellence. Throughout most of his life, Antonio has been immersed in both the residential and commercial construction industry.

In his most recent role as Operations Manager at Lowe's, Antonio demonstrated his exceptional leadership abilities and operational acumen. His role demanded a keen eye for detail, effective communication, and the ability to orchestrate seamless operations, all of which he executed with finesse.

Antonio's passion for construction has now led him into the exciting world of playground construction, where he is eager to make his mark. He approaches this niche with the same dedication and enthusiasm that have characterized his career thus far.

Brian Barberis

Project Coordinator

With a strong foundation in construction, Brian brings a unique perspective to his role as a Project Coordinator at Whirlix. His experience spans home remodeling and restoration, as well as a background in roofing—skills that allow him to understand the intricacies of a project from the ground up and ensure a seamless coordination process from planning through completion.

Brian joined Whirlix with the goal of leveraging his hands-on construction knowledge to contribute to innovative, well-executed outdoor spaces. His approach is rooted in practicality, efficiency, and a commitment to quality, helping our team deliver projects that exceed expectations.

Beyond the professional realm, Brian is a dedicated athlete, competing in professional racquetball with a history as a Team USA member. His passion for sports extends to coaching and playing softball/baseball, where he applies leadership, discipline, and teamwork—skills that seamlessly translate into his approach to project coordination.

Committed to excellence both on the field and in the workplace, Brian continues to bring fresh insight and dynamic energy to every project and team he engages with.

George Moore

Project Coordinator

George Moore joined Whirlix Design in November 2025, bringing a unique combination of leadership, discipline, and customer-focused experience. A former U.S. Marine, George applies the operational precision and teamwork he developed during his service to ensure Whirlix’s day-to-day operations run efficiently and effectively.

With more than 20 years in the restaurant industry, George has a deep background in managing fast-paced environments, optimizing processes, and supporting high-performing teams. His ability to balance structure with adaptability makes him a strong asset to Whirlix’s growing operations and client service initiatives.

Outside of work, George is a dedicated father of four and an avid creative. He enjoys making art, cooking, spending time outdoors, and creating meaningful experiences with his children. His blend of operational excellence, problem-solving skills, and community-minded leadership reflects Whirlix Design’s commitment to delivering seamless, high-quality service on every project.

Leslie Pearson

Project Coordinator

Leslie Pearson joined Whirlix Design with 25 years of experience running a family business with her father in the Metal Finishing industry. There, she learned every facet of the business- from office administration to EPA compliance. Later, she transitioned into home inspection, combining her industry knowledge to identify deficiencies with a passion for helping homeowners protect their investments. She has one son, Nash, who is studying Trumpet Performance at Indiana University, and she takes great pride in watching him develop into an exceptionally talented musician. In her free time, she enjoys staying active: playing ice hockey, snow skiing, hiking and working on DIY home projects.

Teri Estes

Office Manager

Teri joined the Whirlix team on July 16, 2021. She and her late husband owned their own construction company for 22 years. She comes to Whirlix with a variety of experiences in the construction industry, roofing industry and oil and gas industry as a tech, office manager and office administrator.

Teri is the mother of three grown children and enjoys spending time with them and friends.
