Jason Edmundson – President
Jason Edmundson is the founder and president of Whirlix Design Inc., a full-service playground equipment company based in the Dallas area serving North, East and Central Texas. Jason started Whirlix in 2017 after spending more than 22 years working in commercial construction as carpenter, installer, project manager and general manager.
Jason was inspired to start the company after spending hours with his then four-year-old son at playgrounds across North Texas. Started in partnership with Landscape Structures in 2017, Whirlix provides playground equipment that ensures children of all abilities have a chance to play and interact together.
Prior to Whirlix, Jason was the general manager of a specialty construction sub-contractor in Texas. In his role, Jason was responsible for managing the sales and operations for the state of Texas. During that time, he assembled a team of 32 people, focused on customer service throughout the sales and installation processes.
When not working, Jason spends his time coaching youth hockey, playing hockey, skiing and camping with his family. He volunteers his time to his fraternity, Head for the Cure and Project Fit America®. Jason received his B.A. from Northern Illinois University. He lives in Plano with his wife and son Connor who still loves spending hours at the playground.

Greg Hawkins, CPSI – Vice President, Sales
Greg is a veteran sales and marketing professional possessing extensive business development experience gleaned from positions held with Fortune 500 companies such as Tyson Foods, Sara Lee Corporation, and Gap, Inc.
Before joining Whirlix Design, Greg was the Southwest Business Development Manager for the Skatewave® Skateparks division of Landscape Structures, Inc. He brings Whirlix Design the most immediate and specific manufacturer’s experience available.
As a skateboarder for life, avid extreme sports fan, and general kid-at-heart, Greg has the unique opportunity to combine his passion for skateparks and playgrounds with his sales and sales-management knowledge to act as a real solution provider for the growing, inquisitive marketplace. In addition to skating, Greg’s hobbies include tennis, furniture refinishing, painting, and learning the electric guitar.
As a devoted husband and father, Greg is most happy spending time with friends and family.
Tracey Edgar, CPSI – Business Development Manager
Tracey has been representing Landscape Structures in central Texas since 2004. She brings a wealth of knowledge to the Whirlix team. Her experience has allowed her to work on many special needs projects such as Morgan’s Wonderland in San Antonio.
Living in the Austin area since 1998, Tracey enjoys getting outdoors walking in the hill country with her dog Marley. She cherishes spending time with her 2 sons where they all like to cook together. She has been a member of a ladies group for the past 15 years where they enjoy getting together twice a month.
David Rushing – Business Development Manager
David Rushing has been in commercial construction for over 22 years. Prior to his joining Whirlix Design, David owned and operated a home building company, was a project manager for a commercial construction sub-contractor, and most recently, a sales manager for a commercial sub-contracting company.
Throughout his career he has worked on a wide variety of projects with schools, municipalities, hotels, restaurants, etc. He has extensive experience working with architects and general contractors.
David has a wife (Melanie) and two children, Roman and Jules, who take up a lot of his time on the local playgrounds and with sports.
Mindy Long, CSI – Business Development Manager
Mindy started with Whirlix Design, Inc. in January 2019. She began in the construction industry with a very successful family business in 2006. She comes to Whirlix Design with 13 years of experience both in residential and commercial construction where she was employed as the estimator, salesperson and project manager of all of her projects. Taking great pride in customer service accuracy and relationship building from the inception of a project to its end are just a few of her strengths.
Mindy has a passion for many things like the Wounded Warriors Foundation-making life better for those who have served, Animals-especially labs (she has four rescued labs which she adores), Advocacy for Children-being a voice for those who need it. Her desire to advocate for children made the decision to join Whirlix Design very simple. Being a part of a great company that has a vision to leave “no child behind” by providing an inclusive play experience for all is something that gives her great pride and makes going to work worthwhile and fun!
Prior to her career in the construction industry, Mindy was a grant writer for the American Red Cross and was the Director of the very first after school program in California for four years serving over 937 “at risk” middle school students!
Mindy is married and has six children ranging from age 31 to 9 years old. Needless to say, family keeps her very busy and inspires her to do her best at all times!
Brady Dillow – Business Development Manager
Brady Dillow is our newest addition to the Whirlix Team. Brady comes to us with 5 years of experience in sales and management. Prior to joining the team, Brady was the Business Development Manager for an IT e-learning company focused on cloud computing and training. Brady attended the University of Arkansas where he was part of the Razorback Hockey Club and is now finishing up his degree at the University of North Texas.
Brady still enjoys hockey, in addition to fishing, golf and water sports. He also thoroughly enjoys building and playing his guitars.
David Paquette, CPSI – Construction Manager
David Paquette has been in residential construction for 15 years. Prior to joining the Whirlix Design team, David owned and operated a local residential and commercial Audio Video company and was a project manager for a commercial construction sub-contractor. With his prior experience, David brings several years of project management, installation management, and account management to Whirlix Design.
In his spare time he plays ice hockey and softball, walks the dogs, and spends time with his fiancé, Lyndsay, doing home DIY projects.
Will Stirling, PROJECT SUPERINTENDENT
Will joined the Whirlix team in April 2019. He has worked in the playground surfacing/sports recreation industry for the past 20 years as a Project Manager. He has been directly involved with a variety of projects with government agencies, military, municipalities, and parks and recreation departments.
Will is married to Karen and they have five children together, ranging from age 23 to 12 years old. They enjoy spending time together, going to movies, LSU Football games, rock climbing and trail riding, and going on cruises.
Preston Rubsamen – Designer/Estimator
Preston Rubsamen is a young eager design & sales professional at Whirlix Design, with a common goal to provide kids an opportunity to “always be in motion” in a safe and healthy environment. Preston established his career by working in various fields in the construction and A&D Industry over the past 10 years. Working up in his career from a laborer, project manager, and designer for a local landscaping company leading into developing a successful career as a design contractor. Previously, Preston worked as a designer & sales coordinator for a Herman Miller dealership for vertical markets including Corporate, Healthcare, Government, and Higher Education based projects. While in college Preston worked on the set of, “Season 1, Tiny House Big Living” on HGTV as a design contractor and artist.
He is an allied member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID), graduating from Art Institute of Dallas a branch of Miami International University with a bachelor’s degree in Interior Design and Fine Arts with a focus on sustainable design. Preston maintained his academic standing through earning achievements such as Deans List, Presidents List, Honor Role, and Academic Achievement Award.
Alison adgate – Designer/estimator
Alison is a registered Interior Designer (RID) with five years’ experience working in multiple areas of design including higher education, retail and workplace design. Alison graduated from the University of North Texas with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design. Providing play spaces that allow all children, no matter their ability, is a mission truly close to her heart. Alison is eager to use her design skills to create long lasting sustainable play spaces that make a positive impact in the community.
When not at work Alison loves spending time with her family, taking pictures, hiking, baking and doing yoga. A Texas native she is also huge margarita enthusiast and Dallas Stars fan!
Dede Landeros, Estimator
Dede joined the Whirlix team in January of 2019. She has worked as a commercial estimator since 2017 where she worked for a specialty construction sub-contractor in Texas. Prior to this she was the “project manager” of her family for the past 20 years as she had the privilege of staying home to raise her children.
Dede has been married to her husband, Richard, for over 25 years. They have two children together, Logan and Summer. They enjoy spending family time together hanging out, going to the movies and playing with their 4 dogs.
Dede gives credit to God for the many blessings in her life so far and is looking forward to this next chapter!
Jesse isbell – Designer/estimator
Jesse Isbell is a North Texas native, born and raised in Forney Texas. He attended Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas. He graduated in December 2019 with a Bachelor’s of Environmental Design Architecture Studies and a minor in Leadership in Design and Construction. During his time at A&M, he was a Member of CARPOOL, a 501(C)(3) non-profit that provided free, safe, non-judgmental rides home. In 2016-2017, he served as the Director of Expansion, where he worked with and improved other safe ride programs nationwide, and he served as Texas A&M’s head delegate to the Safe Ride Programs United conference in 2017.
Prior to joining the Whirlix team, Jesse worked as a Truss Designer & Estimator, designing pre-engineered wooden trusses for commercial and custom housing applications.
When he isn’t at work, Jesse enjoys gardening, fishing, racquetball, spending time with his bunny, and playing PC games. He enjoys following Texas A&M’s football and baseball teams, and is a lifelong Texas Rangers fan.
WILLIAM rUBSAMEN – MARKETING SPECIALIST
William Rubsamen joined the Whirlix team as an intern in the Spring of 2021. While working on his Bachelor’s in Marketing at the University of Texas at Dallas, he enjoyed spending time with business leaders solving business related problems and developing solutions for their organization.
As an intern, William helped Whirlix Design develop and advance its social media goals. Upon graduation, he joined Whirlix Design full time as a Marketing Specialist. He brings a wealth of digital marketing knowledge and experience to the team.
Prior to joining Whirlix, William had over four years of restaurant management experience, at a variety of restaurants in Dallas, Richardson, Plano, and McKinney.
He enjoys attending Texas Rangers baseball games, acting as disc jockey for friends and family, and working on his education.
Tom Smith – Sales Support Specialist
Tom came to Whirlix Design with over twenty years of sales & support experience in the playground industry. Working inside sales for another major playground manufacturer’s rep organization in the Dallas area, Tom has gained extensive knowledge of playground design and installation.
For Whirlix Design, Tom provides inside sales and support and manages Parks and Recreation key accounts in the Dallas area. Tom specializes in open bid responses and performs complicated take-offs from plans and specifications.
Tom’s strengths include his ability to translate customer requests into a formulated cost-effective response. His knowledge of, and experience with, the products offered by competitors to Landscape Structures/Whirlix Design enables him to reply to the query “Is Landscape Structures the best in the industry?” with a strong “Yes!”.
Tom has lived in the Dallas area for over thirty years.
Tiffany Foret – Office Manager
Tiffany came to Whirlix with over ten years of sales experience in the playground industry. Tiffany worked inside sales for two other major playground manufacturer’s rep organizations in the Dallas area, plus one of the largest play equipment installation companies.
Tiffany has gained extensive knowledge of playground design and installation. Tiffany handles all office responsibilities including, but not limited to, billing, accounts payable, & payroll. Her extensive knowledge of the products and competition in the marketplace enables her to ensure customers that Landscape Structures and Whirlix Design provide the very best products and service in the industry.
Georgia Nykoruk – SALES/ADMIN COORDINATor
Georgia Nykoruk joined the Whirlix team in August 2020. Georgia’s professional background includes 4 years in Recruiting/Human Resources and 10 years in Administration. She is eagerly beginning to learn about the playground design and installation business and looks forward to implementing her administrative skills at Whirlix Design.
Georgia is a passionate singer and has been the lead singer and co-manager of her current band, The Bad #7s, since 2014. She also loves spending time with her fiancé and puppies in her free time.
