2021-22 Play Tours by Whirlix Design

Welcome to Whirlix Design's 2021-22 Play Tour page! We're glad you will be joining us! On our Play Tours, we will highlight design elements like inclusive play, age-appropriate design, and safety requirements, as well as, the play value and long-lasting quality of Landscape Structures' products.

The tour will include a provided lunch and an accredited CEU presentation on Inclusive Play Design. Earn a CEU credit and have some fun along the way. We look forward to seeing you on the tour!

*Note: We are limited to space on tour bus, so we will provide seats on a first come basis. If we can't get you on the tour of your choice, we hope you will join us on one of our future tours. Thank you!

Monarch View Park playground is a beautiful and imaginative addition to Frisco, Texas. The space is designed to mimic the migration patterns of the monarch butterfly.  HealthBeat® equipment is placed along the trails to provide additional workout opportunities for anyone looking to take their walk through the park to the next level. The Liberty Playground at Windhaven Meadow Park is an absolutely wonderful example of inclusive play! This 20,000-square-foot playground was built with a focus on inclusion. It's a true destination playground that children from all over North Texas will demand to visit with friends and family. Learn more below:

Lone Star Park playground is a true testament to the high-quality of the Landscape Structures® play equipment. This playground was installed in September of 2013 and still looks like new! The swings, climbers, and slides all look like they were installed only yesterday. The families of Plano, Texas will have fun with this playground all summer long, year-after-year! Learn more below:

The Central Park playground is considered one of Garland's destination and fully inclusive playgrounds. The playscape sits on roughly 6,500 square feet and features a truly immersive and inclusive play environment. So whether it's custom paneling into the concrete ramp, or the individual components, such as the We-Go-Round® this playground will bring joy to children of all abilities. Learn more below:

Built in 2014, the Victoria Park playground is an awesome custom playspace , which includes components from both our Evos® and PlayBooster® play systems. This playspace is castle themed, requiring GFRC and custom paneling to achieve the medieval look needed to bring this space to life. The design incorporated some exciting components such as a O-Zone® climber, Swiggle Stix®, E-Pod® step, and a Wobble Pod®. This playground is the perfect play experience for children ages 5 to 12! J.A. Carr park playground offers no prescribed entry points or exits on the Evos® to flex kids’ mental and physical muscles while delivering age-appropriate challenge and fun to 5- to 12-year-olds! This playscape also offers inclusive play components like the OmniSpin® surface mount spinner and the assisted ZipKrooz® to provide kids of all abilities the opportunity to play. The Marti Van Ravenswaay Park playground was designed to honor a man who served with the City of Arlington. He served as a Member of the Board for Arlington Parks and Recreation, as well as, the Tarrant County Commissioner. The development team took care to design a elegant and eye-catching space with multiple climbing opportunities. The GeoPlex® climbing panels include a variety of hand and foot holds to encourage strategic planning. The Frank Kent's Dream Park playground is Fort Worth's coolest destination playground. People from all over Texas come to visit and experience the wonders of this play design. This 57,000 square foot playground features unique freestanding play components, and custom designed PlayBooster®, Weevos®, and Evos® play equipment. Dreams come to life with a massive dream house main structure, hot air balloon play structure and custom tree house. Built in 2006, the Landa Park playground is a true example of the high quality and long lasting value of Landscape Structures® products. Gilbert Garza Park, a 21.5 acre park at 1450 Mira Vista, was originally called Mira Vista for the street. Created in 1972, the park was soon re-named for Mayor Pro Tem Gilbert Garza, who died later that year. This fully shaded playground is a spectacular play space for families to relax in the HOT Texas summers. The park also includes a Gazebo for a place to eat or hang out. This playground will provide kids the opportunity to spend time enjoying the outdoors, with fresh air, sunshine and exercise on  tap for many years to come. Learn more below:

This fitness park provides outdoor extreme fitness challenges and is an excellent place for all the aspiring ninjas to test their skills. Round Rock Memorial Park is a large centrally-located community park, which commemorates Round Rock residents who served in the military, and has several historical features, a commemorative WWII torpedo, and informative plaques. The new Memorial Park playground is only steps away from the main parking lot and features a customized playstructure with a touch of the 60's. Learn more here:

Northeast Metropolitan Park is a 349 acre multiple-use recreational area with playgrounds, multi-use fields, basketball court, tennis court, skate park and a BMX race track. The fully shaded playground allows kids age 5-12 to climb and play without worrying about the UV rays. Learn more below:

Pepper Rock Park is a nearly 5 acre pocket park is located in the Meadows Subdivision with playground equipment, picnic tables, benches, a BBQ grill, basketball court and baseball field.
